Process:

  • I applied through the Capgemini careers portal.
  • The recruitment team screened resumes for relevant skills, educational background, and related internships or projects.
  • Selected candidates, including myself, received an email invitation to take the online test.

2. Online Test

Format: Online assessment
Questions:

  • Basic Mathematics and Logical Reasoning:
    • Arithmetic Problems: Covered percentages, ratios, profit and loss, etc.
      • Example: Calculate the percentage increase when a product’s price rises from $40 to $50.
    • Logical Puzzles and Pattern Recognition:
      • Example: Find the next number in the series: 2, 4, 8, 16, ___.
    • Data Interpretation: Involved graphs and charts.
      • Example: Analyze a bar graph to determine the highest and lowest sales months.
  • Technical Questions on Programming Languages:
    • Python:
      • Basics of Python Syntax and Data Structures:
        • Example: Write a function to sort a list of numbers.
      • Control Flow (If Statements, Loops):
        • Example: Write a Python script to find the factorial of a number using a loop.
      • Object-Oriented Programming (Classes and Objects):
        • Example: Define a class representing a student with attributes for name, age, and grade.
    • SQL:
      • Writing Basic SQL Queries:
        • Example: Retrieve the names of all employees from the Employee table.

      • Example: I discussed a project where I used Python and SQL to analyze sales data, focusing on my role, technologies used, and project outcomes.
